This is an open post for writers and anyone else who'd like to participate!

For our story, we'll be dabbling in various alternate universes, and I'm opening up this post for all of you who have suggestions or 'verses you'd like to see. Preferably, we'll be sticking with AUs within the OUATverse- could be a change in canon that made all the difference, could be an exploration of Emma and Regina in a different version of FTL. The comments here will be fair game for any writer who's strapped for ideas.

- Pirate AU Emma is Captain of a ship, etc.
- A death that didn't stick in the show actually sticks
- FTL is a weird patriarchy (LOL) à la Handmaid's Tale.
- They go back to FTL at the time of Rumple and the Ogre Wars, i.e. way before the time of Regina and the Charmings.
- Neverland - Henry goes back with Hook and the Charmings, at the last minute Regina and Emma are pulled off the ship and back to the island. Re-escaping because they know Pan has gone after Henry.

Some standard AU concepts! I think a quick and dirty way to play with these with your word count is kind of thinking out a whole story in your head, and then dropping Regina into a time/place within the AU where you already have a preexisting story in play.

–(spoiler for 4.21-22) Heroes and Villains AU, Regina being chased by Snow White while Emma is wandering around the Enchanted Forest insisting she's the savior.
–Your standard the curse broke/never broke, Emma and Regina are happy together in the sometime future.
–Regina went into that tavern, found her soulmate etc, and Leopold sends elite spy/knight Emma to track her down.
–Cora didn't die in The Miller's Daughter, and the aftermath of what that would have meant for the Swan-Mills family.
–August did wind up staying with Emma, taught her about her destiny and trained her so she comes to Storybrooke as a savior with her objective to defeat the Evil Queen already in place.
–Season One where Emma and Regina are sleeping together (if that's even an AU).
–This one's a bit complicated, but if we're stepping out in mid-S2, our Regina encounters time-traveling (during the 3b finale) Emma from her own future.
–Regina is a young queen having a secret affair with Snow's [bff? guard? older sister?] Emma.
–Regina has to go over the line with Emma and Henry in Going Home to cast that curse, and all three live in New York together, blissfully oblivious.

Season One where Emma and Regina are sleeping together (if that's even an AU).

- Emma doesn't meet Neal or he doesn't get he pregnant or whatever. So Regina isn't softened by motherhood, bored out of her mind during the curse, sick of seeing Snow White every day. But the time in SB is't moving so she can't kill Snow until the curse's broken. She desperately needs the Savior to come and break it. Maybe Regina has the disaster with Owen and his father in mind and tries not to scare Emma off, but this is Regina so she doesn't know how.
- Emma gets on the bus with Lily and they learn about everything from the apprentice. Regina has to face two saviors and Emma's torn between helping Lily and defending Regina.
- Ingrid doesn't act like crazy and Emma stays with her and everything's cool until Emma's 28th birthday. Idk I just want Regina vs bitchy mother in law.

- Emma as Snow White. Regina saves her, Emma doesn't tell Cora about Daniel (Cora's lying and Emma knows when people lie). Emma ends up helping Regina and Daniel hide.
- Regina as Lily. Snow and Charming curse Cora's child, not Maleficent's. So it's Cora who casts the curse. And baby Emma meets baby Regina :)
- Cora gives up Regina, Zelena marries the king. She likes power but she's Zelena so she still envies Regina for whatever reason. Emma's the king's other daughter who helps Regina. Zelena casts the curse, Henry's the savior shipped out to Maine to find everyone. Maybe I just want a ten year old in SB knocking on every door: i'm henry and i'm your son. And your son. And yours, too.

And sorry for the spam but here's a crazy one:
- Emma kills Rumple in s 2 and becomes The Dark One (he was going to kill Henry!) Cora's alive. But she's a crazy bitch and Emma's a princess and is very powerful. So Cora wants Regina to marry Emma.
- Also, Cora in Neverland saving Henry. Say, Neal came to town on his own, henry was kidnapped during In the Name if the Brother. Rumple goes to Neverland to help Neal, Cora tries to gain Regina's trust and waits for an opportunity to kill The Dark One so she tags along, too. Emma and Regina deal with too family members.

Plot bunnies aside, we should probs have an authors-only page as well to discuss what we're thinking of for our AUs. While not opposed to multiple versions of Regina Mills as Princess Leia in that bikini or ten FTL AUs in which Bandit!Regina is in happy endings with Emma Swan, that might get repetitive for the humble reader.
